Hi! We are the Student Leaders and Advisors of the South Brunswick Girls Who Code Chapter!
President
Hey! I’m Aashika Parekh, I’m a Junior attending South Brunswick High School. I serve as the President of the SBHS Girls Who Code Chapter. I started my journey with GWC back in 2016. For the past 2 years, I’ve been mentoring at the North Brunswick Chapter. Aside from GWC, I was awarded the National Center of Women Technology Award in 2019 and 2020. With this award, I was able to apply for a grant to mentor robotics to underprivileged girls. In addition to this club, I’m an active member in our school’s Girls JV Volleyball, Varsity Basketball, and Track and Field team. In my free time, I love to ski, surf, and enjoy life!
Vice President
Hi! My name is Jeslin Paulraj, and I’m a junior at South Brunswick High School. I serve as the Vice President of the SBHS Girls Who Code Chapter. I have always been passionate about STEM, but became interested in computer science by attending Girls Who Code. I love to learn and expand my knowledge, and also tutors students in various STEM subjects. I also work with younger children and teach them basic computer science skills through interactive programs and games. In my free time, I love to read, bake, and work on developing my computer science skills. At Girls Who Code, I hope to help expand our chapter and create a unique, cooperative learning environment to inspire other girls to explore the STEM field!
Public Liason
Hi! I’m Charity, a Junior at SBHS and the Public Liaison of this amazing GWC club. My goal is to graduate high school, like us all and then have a B.S in Computer Science. I didn’t start coding early and I am by no means close to a pro. In Cameroon where i am from, I’d say I didn’t have much opportunity nor exposure to it either. So, if you’re a beginner like I am, don’t worry and keep striving!. Other than school, I enjoy making bracelets, watches, keychains among others and recently started a small biz. Also,I love watching movies and tv shows (I hate the office and friends :) Feel free to email me if anything comes up!
VLA Representative
My name is Delali Kumapley, and I am a sophomore at South Brunswick High School. I serve as the Viking Leadership Alliance Representative for the SBHS Chapter of Girls Who Code. I’ve had a passion for computer science since I took an HTML course at 12. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work in languages such as CSS, Javascript, Swift, and Java. I am a Kode with Klossy New York City 2019 and 2020 alumni. I’m honored to be a part of that community as well as be the 2020 second-place winner of their Spring Fling Hackathon. Outside of school, I enjoy watching TV shows, graphic design, and doing photoshoots with friends!

Executive Member
Hey guys! My name is Amy and I am a senior at South Brunswick High School and I am an Executive Board Member for Girls Who Code. Being a part of this club helps me feel like I’m part of a community that not only educates young women in the STEM field but also motivate each to work in collaborative teams. This is our first year as a team but unfortunately it will be my last as a senior, but before I leave I hope to share this initiative with my more young kids who also can feel a part of something so great! As I continue my personal journey in the STEM field I hope to pursue a Computer Science degree in college and slowly break the gender gap in the STEM field. #STEMinist
